1st Douglas Scouts on board the HMS Mersey

Posted on September 23rd, 2015 by admin

IMG_3997On Thursday 17th September, 1st Douglas Scouts were invited to go on board HMS Mersey – Fishery Protection Boat. Scouts were shown around the boat and what the crew do on board and where they sleep and where they eat and what the galley looks like where all the food is cooked.

While we were on board, they got the chance to try some of the gear they were when they go to board other fishing boats or if they had to fight a fire.
We would like to thank the captain and the Crew who allowed us to come on board also to crew member ‘Jolly’ for our guided tour.

See more pictures from the visit in the event’s photo gallery.
