flagsAbout 100 young people from all sections of Scouting and Girlguiding  on the Isle of Man gathered on Sunday at St. George’s Church in Douglas.

“All 5 sections of Scouts were represented together with many leaders and parents. Lots of standards were presented making a lovely colourful parade.”, said Scouting’s Island Commissioner Guy Thompson. “VIP guests attended, it all raises the profile of Scouting and Guiding on the Island.”

One of the organisers of the service was Julie Leece, a leader of both Scouts and Rainbows  (the youngest section in GirlGuiding). “It was great to see Beavers through to Active Support there.”

Thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Network, Active Support and Leaders that attended on what turned out to be a very wet day. Special thanks to the many standard bearers and those who took part in the service. You all made Manx Scouting proud.
