Beaver Scouts from eleven Colonies, namely 1st Ballaugh, 1st Douglas Buggane (Monday), 1st Douglas Loaghtan (Thursday), 1st Laxey, 1st Malew, 2nd Onchan (Tuesday), 2nd Onchan (Thursday), 3rd Peel, 1st Ramsey, 1st Rushen and 1st Santan took part.
Several Colonies had some very new Beavers who were taking part in their first competition since joining Beaver Scouts and for some it was the first time they had tried ten pin bowling.
So that as many Beavers as possible could have the chance to take part, the number of Beavers from each Colony was not restricted and to decide the winners the average score for each Colony was calculated. 1st Douglas Buggane (Monday) were victorious, achieving the best average score of 71.8 which won them the Bowling Shield and Bowling Pin. In addition one of their Beavers, Reuben, won the trophy for the highest individual score for a Beaver aged 7 and over, with a score of 81. The under 7 trophy was won by Oliver of Laxey with a score of 86. The Beavers with the three highest scores in each Colony also received certificates courtesy of Surestrike bowling.
